HP Pavilion zd8220us Notebook PC
I have an HP Pavilion zd8220us Notebook PC. I hate it!
It came with an external media tuner, however I have only used it twice since I bought the laptop. It was a gimmick, and added way too much to the price of the laptop.
I've had the computer for about 3 years. I've had to uninstall/reinstall Windows XP more times than I can count.
I've also had numerous driver issues!
It runs hot, and is big and bulky. The 17" monitor is nice, but the laptop is really too heavy to carry around easily. I paid $1,800 for it, but I am not impressed.
I've had several laptops that I purchased for under $600 that were better. The battery stopped charging soon after I purchased it.
There are a few positives...
The keyboard is large and easy to use. The monitor is bright, and still works perfectly. It has wireless networking and bluetooth capabilities.
You can control the volume on the keyboard. The touchpad still works well, even though I've used it daily for the last 3 years. It is a desktop replacement, and I've left it on for eight or more hours without any issues.
I would not purchase this particular model from HP again, but I still have faith that HP makes some decent products.
