EP's Apple Laptop

I have owned a Macbook 2,1 for the last four years.
It came with an Intel Core 2 Duo processor and 1 GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM.
The best things about my laptop are its speed and aesthetics. I had owned two laptops (IBM Thinkpad and Dell Inspiron) before I bought my Apple and I had problems with the computer overheating when I had more than one program running at the same time.
I almost never have this problem with my Macbook. The worst thing about my laptop is that the built-in CD/RW drive stopped working 3 years after I bought the laptop. CD's and DVD's with any type of scratches (even minor ones) will get "stuck" in the CD/RW drive when inserted.
The keyboard is great and I love the separated keys feature. The touchpad is okay, but I prefer to use my wireless mouse.
The built-in speakers are reasonable for personal use, but external speakers are needed if I want to listen to audio away from the laptop.
The speed and performance of my Macbook is great. As I mentioned before, the biggest problem with my previous laptops were the overheating and slow performance when multiple tasks were performed.
I would and have already recommended this laptop to friends. My next laptop will be from Apple and will most likely be an upgrade to a Macbook Pro.
