Dell Inspiron 1525 Laptop

I have a DELL inspiron 1525 and I am very happy with it. I have 2.0 GiB memory, processor Intel core 2 duo 1.83 GHz, and a 160GB Hard Disk.

I have had it since a bit more than two years ago and so far it has been a very good buy. Initially it came with Windows Vista in it but then I switched for Linux.

Right now I run ubuntu 9.10 in it and it recognizes all my hardware like a charm, no messing about or having to look for additional drivers.

It is a fast and reliable machine. I give it quite a hard use, have spilled water in it and so far so good. It was very cheap as well.

I would buy this laptop again, and I keep recommending it to my friends. It is very good value for money. Only bad thing is that the touchpad is too close to the space bar so sometimes I move the mouse when typing fast. But, if you change the setting for the sensitivity of the touchpad that gets sorted.

It was quite annoying in the beginning because with my previous laptop the touchpad was rubbish so I had to use a mouse, therefore I wasn't use to using a touchpad. In summary, fast and reliable machine, good value for money.
