Acer Aspire 7720-6569

I purchased this laptop in March of 2008. Why did I decide on this laptop over the others?

There were two basic reasons which were the 17" screen and the overall sturdiness of the laptop.

I have dropped this unit about 6 times on concrete and all that happened are a few case scratches. The specs of my laptop are as follows...

* a 1.66 GHz Intel processor
* 2GB ram which was upgraded to 4GB of ram two days ago
* 160 GB hard drive
* CD/DVD reader and burner.

One of the best things about my laptop is the large keyboard which includes a number pad. One of the worst things about my laptop is also the keyboard as a few of the keys have stopped working.

Fortunately, they are not keys that can't be duplicated elsewhere. I would rate the keyboard as good overall, the touchpad is good also, but the built-in speakers are poor.

The speed and performance of this laptop is really good compared to other laptops I have tried.

Recently I started to have performance problems due to inadequate memory so I doubled the ram to return performance to like new.

I'm really glad that I bought this laptop and have recommended the Acer Aspire 7720-6569 laptop to many of my friends and co-workers.

When this Acer finally bites the dust or becomes seriously obsolete I will replace it with another Acer.
