Acer Aspire 7720

Acer Aspire 7720
After a catastrophic failure of my old laptop a new one was required.
I had a good scan of what was available and decided to go for the Acer Aspire 7720. They have a good reputation and are fairly tough when it comes to traveling, a major requirement for me.
As I use my laptop for both pleasure and business I settled on the Acer Aspire 7720 because it has 17.1" screen and is well backlit so is easy on the eyes.
It comes with a 140GB hard drive and 2GB of memory as standard. I would have preferred a larger hard drive and do think it's a little small but it could be worse and I can always buy larger at a later date.
It came with Windows Vista which I really dislike but I suppose that's hardly Acer's fault.
Overall I'm quite happy with it. It's generally quite fast but I've noticed recently it can get stuck and linger in a freeze mode for quite a while. The design of the laptop itself is fine but I find the extra space between the keyboard and the bottom of the laptop to be a little awkward at times and does dig into the lower arms if they're rested upon it while typing.
I would recommend the Acer Aspire 7720 generally but for somebody who needs to use it as much as I do it can be a bit of a strain.
