Acer Aspire 5251-1513

Well, I have had the Acer Aspire 5251-1513 for approximately 3 months now and I actually like it a lot. It has a smooth performance with the AMD v120 2.2ghz processor, an excellent addition to this laptop. It also has 2 gigs of DDR3 memory to keep that performance up, along with a 200 gig hard drive to store lots of music and pictures.

I enjoy the gaming experience on here with the ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4250 with 893 megs of Hypermemory, ATI Catalyst software to control your graphics pleasures, and smooth leisurely performance overall. With the built in HDMI port, i can instantly hook my laptop up to my HD television and really enjoy the viewing experience with no sacrifice of computer performance.

With the built in 1.3 megapixel web cam, you can video chat with your friends and family with ease. I bought this computer because the price was very reasonable, and their were good attributes to this computer as i have mentioned above. This computer has Windows 7 Home Premium, which I have grown to love quickly. The sound is excellent, along with the keyboard and mouse pad being built strong and very stable. In all honesty i cannot find anything about this computer i do not like. I'm very content with it.

I would rate this computer an 8 out of 10, simply because there's bigger and faster computers out there I would like to get my hands on, but just cannot afford. That's why I bought this Acer, and one for my wife, too, and she loves it as well. It does everything you want it too.

Well to the People above the reason your batteries probably died out was, for one, most people use their laptops till the battery dies and then what do they do? well the only logical thing to do they plug it in but at the same time they still aren't done using it, so they keep it turned on and use it as its charging!!! THIS IS NOT GOOD FOR YOUR BATTERY!!!!!
EVEN FOR YOUR CELL PHONES!!!
I for one have never had my battery on this laptop die after an hour and a half, it has always lasted for more than 4hrs, so for anyone that knocks on the battery subject use your heads before saying its the battery or the laptops fault.

I'VE HAD MY ACER A LITTLE OVER 2 YEARS. ONLY PROBLEM I HAVE IS BATTERY SHOULD LAST 3 HRS ONLY LAST 1.5 HRS. OTHER THAN THE BATTERY LIFE I LIKE IT BETTER THAN MY DESK TOP.

acer 5251-1514 Battery Issue

Hi ,

I bought the Acer 5251-1513 in Sept 10 and it works great EXCEPT for the battery which suddenly stopped charging completely. I can leave it on the charger all night but it never charges above 63% and it dies out after about 1 to 1.5 hours of use.

Not sure why the battery died out so quickly, but it really should have lasted MUCH, MUCH longer than ~7 months.
