Acer Aspire 5100 Stopped Working

When I first bought my Acer laptop I loved it. It is an Aspire 5100. It ran great for almost a year.

I was even able to play online games like World of Warcraft with little problems.

However, after the first year I began to notice problems. The machine started slowing down. It was getting very hot if I ran it for more than an hour. Shortly after that I started getting error messages.

The machine would check its disk every startup. It was finding errors each time. Eventually, the problems escalated to getting a blue screen and the computer shutting down.

My Acer has been repaired twice since these problems started. I have gone so far as to replace the hard drive when the first one failed. Yet, it still will not run. I am not sure what is wrong with it, but it does not run anymore.

The operating system has been reinstalled, and the hard drive completely formatted. It runs for about a week and the same problems start again. I am very disappointed because I really loved my laptop. I am currently shopping for a new one.

Keeping my recent experience in mind, I will NOT buy an Acer again. And I highly recommend that you not get the Acer Aspire 5100.
